1. PURPOSE
These terms and conditions govern online reservations for services provided by Mihiroa Expeditions, including:
• inter-island sea transportation
• private transfers
• fishing excursions
• private boat charter
• related nautical activities
Any reservation implies full acceptance of these terms.
2. RESERVATION
A reservation becomes final upon:
• order confirmation
• acceptance of these terms
• full or partial payment depending on the service
Customers must provide accurate information.
3. PRICING
All prices are displayed in XPF (Pacific Franc), taxes included.
Prices may change without notice, however confirmed reservations keep their original price.
4. CUSTOMER CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellation more than 14 days before departure:
Full refund.
Cancellation less than 14 days before departure:
100% cancellation fees apply.
No refund will be granted.
Missed departure:
Missed departures are:
• non-refundable
• non-exchangeable
• non-transferable
5. CANCELLATION OR CHANGES BY MIHIROA EXPEDITIONS
Mihiroa Expeditions reserves the right to:
• postpone
• modify
• shorten
• cancel
any service due to:
• weather conditions
• technical issues
• safety reasons
• force majeure
Customers may receive:
• a rescheduled booking
• a travel credit
• or a full refund when applicable
6. SPECIFIC CONDITIONS FOR MAKATEA TRANSFERS
Transfers to Makatea require a minimum of:
6 passengers.
If this minimum is not reached, Mihiroa Expeditions may offer:
• rescheduled departure
• or travel credit
7. SAFETY ON BOARD
The vessel is equipped with:
• all mandatory safety equipment
• life jackets
• protective jackets
The captain may refuse boarding or interrupt a service if passenger behavior compromises:
• crew safety
• passenger safety
• equipment safety
No refund will be granted in such cases.
8. RESTRICTIONS
Some activities are not recommended for:
• children under 4 years old
• children under 12 depending on activity
• pregnant women
• passengers with reduced mobility
• passengers with back problems
• passengers prone to seasickness
Minors must:
• be accompanied by an adult
• or provide parental authorization
Pets are not allowed.
9. LIABILITY
Mihiroa Expeditions cannot be held liable for:
• weather-related delays
• loss or damage of personal belongings
• events beyond our control
10. PERSONAL DATA
Collected data is used exclusively for:
• reservation management
• invoicing
• customer support
It is never sold or transferred to third parties.
11. APPLICABLE LAW
These terms are governed by the laws applicable in French Polynesia.
12. ASSUMPTION OF RISK, LIABILITY AND WAIVER
The customer acknowledges that Mihiroa Expeditions activities take place in a marine environment and involve inherent risks related to:
• weather conditions
• sea conditions
• boat transportation
• physical activity
• fishing or maritime transport activities
By confirming a reservation, the customer declares that he or she:
• is in good physical condition
• has no known medical contraindications
• is fit to participate in the booked activity
• will disclose any medical condition that may affect personal safety
• agrees to strictly follow all safety instructions given by the crew or captain
The customer acknowledges participation under his or her own responsibility for all natural and unforeseeable risks inherent to marine activities.
Mihiroa Expeditions shall not be held liable in case of:
• illness, injury or accident caused by an undisclosed medical condition
• seasickness or physical discomfort
• loss, theft or damage of personal belongings
• voluntary failure to follow safety instructions
The captain reserves the right to:
• refuse boarding
• interrupt an activity
• modify or shorten a service
for any reason related to passenger, crew or vessel safety.
No compensation, refund or rescheduling shall be required in such cases.
Any liability of Mihiroa Expeditions remains limited to the extent permitted under applicable maritime regulations and professional insurance coverage.
13. INSURANCE
Mihiroa Expeditions declares that all mandatory professional insurance policies are active and valid, including professional liability coverage and marine operational insurance in accordance with regulations applicable in French Polynesia.
All services are operated in compliance with applicable maritime safety and navigation regulations.
